Anniversary card!

On Monday I had been married to my hubby for 24 years, he is a wonderful man and my best friend! We are so much a like, so if he forgets I do the same, like on Monday. Nobody remembered what day it was, until a friend told me, oops! I surprised hubby in the evening with a small bottle of Champagne, and the card above, he still didn't get it!! Not even with the text I wrote, oh dear, we are getting old, LOL! But he did surprise me with a party earlier this summer, I am turning 50 on Saturday, so he is forgiven!!

I have used on of the cute Paper Cupcakes images, one you find on the Tea party sketch blog hop! In the same hop we got 14 new sketches (you can still find them at the DTs blogs). This one is made by Amber, even if did some modification, so I could write the text hidden under!

Now I will confess, I struggled, this is my second card because this combination was hard for me, maybe because I did not have many papers in purple but then I found this Darkroom Door paper with a tulip on it. I colored my Hanglars with blue and added a blue lace. I am sure you will do better, LOL! Good luck!

Paper Cupcakes - Challenge Sewing

This week's challenge at Paper Cupcakes is SEWING, brought to us by Dru. You know, my sewing machine is broke, so sad because I love sewing on my cards. However you can use any kind of sewing, puuh! As you can see I hand stitched it with two different colors of waxed floss. For this challenge you have to use your FREE image, Just ducky, but hey isn't he the cutest?? I haven't done any challenges for a very long time, but now I hope to do at least one or two per week, because I really missed it. But GOSH have they put up a lot of rules! TMITA/PCC - Challenge 26 July - "Dogs days of summer"

Patti brings us this challenge, which I never heard of, but thanks to Google I found out it's about lazy doing nothing days, like during vacation. Hope I was right, LOL! This image by Nina/Paper Cupcakes is perfect for the project. Lazy day on the beach. I used paper piecing technique and framed it in a white wooden frame I had hanging around empty. For this challenge you can use any acquired image from PCC.

Look what I got from Hege, a dear blog friend from Norway! A beautiful envelope full of wise words and a friendship stamp. AND in the package were also a stack of wonderful design papers printed in Norway! My next posting will be on Monday when I am back in Malaysia again!!
