T R A V E L - Book

I would like to share with you my latest mini book - TRAVEL. I used papers from Basic Greys paper pads 6x6, Offbeat. They are so practical to use! My son does not want to be with his picture on internet so thats why he turned black, not just from the aussi sun:-)

I will come back tomorrow and publish the rest of the book! If you have any questions regarding materials or other stuff please write them in the comments!

Some LOs

I did some LOs before Xmas, again very simple straight forward like my mantra - Simplicity. OK I know sometimes I do go over the top, but in my heart this is my favorite technique.

Mica and Wax on ATC

Today we had a fun day at Scrappingville, we learned how to use Mica flakes and Wax on ATCs. Pictures shows Sharon demonstrating, Amanda and Thila working hard!
For the wax cards we used Alcohol ink, silver sheets and ink for the backgrounds.  For the others with Mica we used Distress inks and layovers. Mica is a selicate mineral that you can stamp on, emboss, cut or use in many other ways, they come as sheet or flakes. In KL you find them at Scrappingville, BSC. Here are some of my cards:

Live it Scrap it now has a new member, Thila. Welcome! Next time we are hoping for a secret guest to come and teach us more.....

Happy New Year - 2009!

Back from a wonderful week in Sydney with many, many pictures to scrap!! I am now waiting for my first kit  from Freehandscraps in USA! Can't wait!! The scrapbooking shops in KL have also started with monthly kits, so girls time to go shopping and start to work...

I am working now on a memory album of my mother, kind of emotional hard to make but I need to do it. I am sharing an early LO I did of her.

Christmas tags cont.

I finished my tags at home and these turned out to be the best. I (we) used papers from K&Company  which I cut out pieces from, distressed inks, distressed stickles! One of my favorites things are to use the scissors distressing technique (Scrapperlicious) and then ink with distressed ink.

Christmas Tag workshop!

Today we met at Choo's Scrapping memories. WOW has he got a lot of stuff for the moments! Hurry, and you will find a lot of nice scrapping things for X-mas. Today we used whatever we could find in the shop to make the tags. Catherine decided she was a pink lady (?) today but made wonderful tags with backgrounds from Distress ink. She taught us an easy way to apply the ink, just use wet tissues! Choo has got the new distrassables stickles, which we used a lot.

Anna (and Nilla, her tags coming soon) worked more on the traditional side today, using gold, red embossing and inks.

Since I decided this year, to buy Christmas Cards from the refugees, I did not have to make any, but I thought maybe I do one or two. And at the same time I did  2 ATCs. Vive la Xmas!

Fun(d)raising silent auction! I won!

I am so lucky,  soon to have, on my scrapdesk,  5 new (old) stamps which I won on Scrap - n - Crops silent auction. This is my favorite:

Is it not cute? This stamp is from 1995 and now I can send out some cheerful wishes like this one:

Christmas Tag

A different tag based on Tim Holtz's 3 Christmas Tag 2008. I printed a photo on Studio sticky back canvas, distressed the edges with Black soot.  You get a pretty cool effect when you print on canvas.
