Scrap corner and an award!

Still beautiful weather! I prefer beeing on the outside, on the golf course or at sea! It's really holiday! I will leave for France tomorrow, so you will only hear from me when I am allowed to upload my LO that I did for the July challenge at Scrap-it-lah! Today I will share my Swedish scrap corner, my kitchen table, LOL! It's a cosy place!

Nina at Having an Art-A-Tack, send me an Honest award, thank you so much! Since I have already been honest, can only be that once, LOL! Then you can see my honesty here!
I send this one on to

Happy Holidays!

I was so inspired by my blog friend Claudia, Pretty Pressings, that I had to fight the urge to be on the outside and go in to my kitchen table and make a card! You were right, which one to pick from my new Magnolia collection was difficult, but this one suited the papers from Melissa Frances well! The challenge for this card is a sketch from Friday Sketchers 58! Now out in the sun again!!

Recipe:
Papers: Melissa Frances
Colors: Promarkers
Felt Heart: Filt from New Zealand
Stamp: Magnolia

Magnolia shop...

Hmm, did I do well or what?? Yes you can say that, I bought half the Magnolia store, nothing left, sorry! Anna and I entered a candy store, we spent hours around the table full of new and old Magnolia stamps. And they did not just have stamps the store was full of other candies, like papers, punches, ribbons, dies well everything you need in scrapbooking/cardmaking! Of course I was so excited so I forgot to take any photos, but here is one of all the stamps I bought....(the pile is higher, than it shows, LOL)!

Summer

Now I feel like it's summer here in Sweden, sunshine, blue sky and not too cold! I am sitting in a small red wooden summer cottage and enjoying a cuppa, just finished a card for ABC Challenge - Summer.

Recipe:
Stamp: Sugar Nellie
Colors: Promarkers
Pearls: Kaiser
Butterfly: Artoz
Paper: Rayher - Classic Collection
Embellishments from Swedish stores

Promarkers Aqua:

I got a request about Promarker Aqua, I have now tested them on smooth paper, typically for Copics and rough water color paper. And I am not happy, the paper actually eats the marker (or the other way around). It's not easy to add more color, then it eats it even more! Maybe it needs some practise or tutoring, but I do prefer the normal Promarkers if I do not have my favourites; Copics or proper water colours.

Just for you...

Some green Swedish apples, perhaps? Lovely papers from My mind's Eye and Inkido, in combo with one of my new stamps from Hanglar & Stanglar, a boy making an apple pie, this time colored with Promarkers. I used a sketch (57) from Friday Sketchers! Now time to go out in the sun between the rain pours!

..and finally a Card!

Yes, I made a card, on my kitchen table. I bought a big tote to host my scrapping stuff, easy to put a side and just to open ready to scrap. For this card I used a sketch from A Spoon full of Sugar challenge 56. The image, Penny Black, is coloured with my Copics back home in Malaysia, because I wanted to enter their first anniversary as a challenge blog. However I used beautiful papers from Swedish Inkido and Norwegian Tilda! Gosh there are so many fantastic things to buy in Sweden, I will use them on my cards while here. Just to let you know its raining, 10C and very grey, what a great midsummer:-)

Finally some shopping...

Found 2 great scrapbooking stores yesterday in Gothenburg, Sweden, so now I am set to make my first card! I will upload it tomorrow! I found a new product by Letraset, Promarker Aqua. Bought a couple of colors to test. You will not find Copics here, to expensive they say. But I brought my Promarkers to use while I am here. Remember you can't bring your Copics on the plane since they are alcohol based! Could be good to know if you buy them while on holiday! See ya tomorrow!
Oh, by the way, I am going to Magnolia factory next week, only 40 min from Gothenburg!!!

In Sweden

Hi all, yes now I am here, 3am and of course full awake (time difference 6h to Malaysia) and I am freezing, 20C lower. But the air is very fresh and even at 3am it's very bright on the outside, what a difference. Thanks for all your well wishing to me and I hope to do a card later this week! But now I am on my way to check your blogs out!!!

Thinking of you

This card is for all my readers, just to let you know, I will not be making my usual one card a day, for a bit now. I am heading for Sweden on Saturday and before I can set up my little corner, it could take days, but I can promise you (and me) thereafter 3 cards a week:-)
For this card I used some new Tim Holtz products, but not in a TH typically way, you can see the corners and the metal flowers! I used the sketch from Stamp with fun challenge 10. My beautiful Elisabeth Bell image was so big so I had to make the card 8x6", to fit it in! I used dew drops to finish it!

Just a little note....

Love this Magnolia stamp, makes me happy! I made this card for someone who is leaving KL, to go back home! The sketch is from Sketch Saturday challenge 54.

Thanks for all your comments on my scrap corner, I know, I am so lucky to be able to have a space like that (which will change in the future since we only rent this house while in KL). Someone asked about the swatch in the window, second pic. That is a colour chart for my Copic pens.

My scrap corner!

A different challenge over at Stampartic online Magazine, to win 5 fabulous stamps from Motivet you have to show your scrapping space. And you don't have to clean it first! I am lucky to have a big space in our office, means I have my computer and printer nearby!

I have my Copics in old Illy coffee conteiners and my scrap in a drawer from IKEA (all furnitures and drawers are from there), painted and patch worked with Modge Podge. I keep my 12x12 papers in plastic drawers on wheels under the work table, practical!

Love grows happiness

and strawberries are forever....a not so easy sketch at A spoon full of sugar 54 this week, got me to use black and white to bring out the flavour of the berries and this pretty WOJ new summer stamp. We had the last day of school here today, Yipee, soon time to go to Sweden. I will try to continue to make many cards (and LO for my DT job) but of course with limited resources, but I heard they got plenty of scrapbooking shops over there, so....LOL!

A photo album Card!

Have you checked out the 2 Sketches 4 You, You ultimate card showdown week 1, if not, do! A lot of fun and fantastic prices. The first challenge is a sketch, which I turned in to a photo album card, anything can be called so?? It's for my nephews' first child, a boy called Ernst. On the inside it is space for journaling and a small photo. Papers are from  Basic Grey and G.C.D, teddy bear stamp from The Crafty Pad and I used my Bind-it-all to make a two page card.

Timeless Bloom and some news!

First some great news I have been asked to join the DT for the first Malaysian Challenge blog, Scrap-it-Lah. It's an honour considering I am not Malaysian (only in my heart). Please check out this new Challenge blog, we would like to have many, many participants! I promise you fun!

Sometimes you are not happy with your work, you bend and you twist, upload or discard?! This card I put in my drawer, it was for a challenge, a sketch. But it was something I didn't like about it, but when I looked at it again I thought, some modification and I try to see what you think...Wonderful papers from Graphic 45 some flowers and here we are!
